This month fashion and drinks brands both got ready for the forthcoming holiday season with lots of billboards to help you look good for all those festive parties, or gift ideas like footwear and fragrances, or even a bottle of something to make someone merry.
Fashion billboards
One of my favorite fashion billboards filling L.A.'s skies this month was this bold and vibrant ad for Aldo, who are incidentally celebrating 40 years in the footwear and accessory business. If you like this creative, be sure to check out more Aldo Shoe billboards from 2012's Fall Winter season.Meanwhile this cool special extension billboard appeared along Sunset Boulevard for UGG Australia for Men.
Plus lots more UGG slippers and boots billboards have appeared in this run up to Christmas, like this animal print example.
Other fashion brands are getting into the Holiday spirit with festive ads like this festive Armani Exchange billboard over their Sunset Plaza flagship store.

And whilst AX is preparing for snow, British fashion house Burberry knows a lot more about keeping dry in rainy season.
In the same way that it had a limited-edition Mad Men Collection, Banana Republic was advertising it's luxurious Anna Karenina inspired capsule collection to tie-in with the release of the new Keira Knightley movie this month.
Be sure to also check out actual movie costumes worn in Anna Karenina on display.
And just as Banana Republic give you some ideas of what to wear for party season, super-stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe, helps you get the perfect curves underneath women's clothes with Jockey's Shapewear.
This month there were quite a few handsome faces filling L.A.'s skies, like Tyson Ballou in mono for Calvin Klein Collection.
And there was a whole gaggle of buff specimens showing off their pecs and abs for Saks Fifth Avenue men's store in Beverly Hills.
Not to mention visions in gold for 2(x)ist's new men's underwear range.
Or something more Athletic, both making perfect gifts for Christmas for a loved one.
From precious metals to precious gems and these ads for the Diamond Supply Co. seem to everywhere around the streets of L.A. at the moment.
The funny thing is they have nothing to do with diamonds and more to do with clothes and footwear, who knew.
And am I the only person out there who's getting a bit of hashtag fatigue in communications and advertising.
Fragrance billboards
Brad Pitt graced the Sunset Strip this month as the first male face of Chanel No.5 perfume.Whilst there's something about this billboard for Perry Ellis Aqua cologne that stands out, maybe it's the piercing eyes of male model Nir Lavi.
Drinks billboards
I've recently discovered I'm not a fan of flavoured vodka, but I do like the egg yolk colour of this billboard for Smirnoff Vodka's Iced Cake variant.Meanwhile Absolut Vodka have been making a big splash in November with giant billboards and special installations for its Greyhound cocktail ad campaign. Pretty eye-catching stuff.
I also spotted another creative this month from Sobieski Vodka's witty new ad campaign.
Plus even my favourite tipple, Grey Goose Vodka, got in on the action to help celebrate the holiday season in style and with 'exceptional taste'.
Patrón received a fashion makeover for its bottle stopper from John Varvatos making it the perfect gift for tequila lovers and making for a cool special extension billboard.
Plus here's another witty Day of the Dead-inspired Espolón Tequila billboard creative that stuck around this month.
Don Julio didn't mince any words with its new ad and basically said, if you're going to buy one tequila for anyone, buy ours because it's the best.
And for whisky drinkers out there here's the latest Johnnie Walker billboard for their Double Black offering.
On the soft beverage side of things, Sprite had this cool new creative from its basketball campaign. If you like this, be sure to check out the Sprite special installation basketball hoop from New York's Times Square.
And another non-alcholic drink billboard stood out this month, mainly because I don't seem to see Yakult as much in supermarket and groceries stores here in the U.S. as I did in the U.K. and I'm sure they were sold in packs of six and not five back home.
As you can see it's been a busy month for billboards around L.A. and there's still TV, movie, technology and other lifestyle billboard round-ups still to come, so stay tuned.
Keep your eyes to the skies...
